CUB SCOUT

 DAY CAMP

Summer camp is one of the best parts about being a kid! Playing outside, learning lifelong skills, and building new friendships are a blast. Every day is an adventure full of fun and learning at Day Camp where boys and girls ages 6 to 10 will have the experience of a lifetime! Come for one week or up to three weeks and enjoy these activities and many more!

This is the perfect program for Cub Scouts and Webelos, plus Cub Scout-aged youth, to experience fun activities with friends from their pack.  Scouts spend each day with the same group and visit a variety of program stations. At the end of the day they return home. It’s a place for Cub Scouts and Webelos to test themselves, participate in new activities, make new friends and learn something along the way.

Although primarily for Cub Scouts, Day Camp is a co- ed program this year! Day Camp is also a great place for Cub Scout-aged siblings (going into first grade through fifth grade) to experience the fun and ideals of Scouting.

Camp runs from 9am–5pm every day. Early drop-off and pick-up are available. Youth do not need to be members of the BSA to attend. Tiger-aged youth (1st grade in the Fall) need to attend with an Adult Partner.

This year's theme is Bug Hunters!

Join our Scientific Staff for a week filled wit creepy, crawly bugs at Day Camp! Scouts will learn how to be the best Bug Hunters on this side of the Mississippi! Nets and magnifying glasses will be your tools of the trade, so Be Prepared!

Activities

Each youth will try their hand at archery, BB shooting, sling shots, field sports, nature, arts and crafts, Scout skills, swimming, boating and many other activities. All areas (especially range activities) place a special emphasis on safety procedures.

Day Camp is offered in several great locations across our new council! Our goal is to serve every family in the council with a superb Day Camp location within about 35 minutes of their home. For those families on the outskirts, or with busy summer schedules, a bus transportation system is also being implemented this year.

BUS TRANSPORT

Council-provided Bus Transportation: $50/person

Northeast Ohio Scouting is partnering with FirstStudent Transportation to serve families who want to get their kid to Day Camp, but find it hard to work into their busy schedule. Buses will pick up campers from a centralized location along a bus route before camp, and then drop them back off at the same spot after camp. Specific pick-up and drop-off times will vary according to location, but campers will need to be ready at their bus stop between 7AM & 8AM to get to camp on time.

Buses will be staffed by at least one adult to ensure an organized and safe loading and unloading at the bus stops. Campers riding the bus will receive identification and instruction to help them board the correct bus each day.

Specific pick-up locations are being finalized according to need as specified during registration, but will be centralized to these areas:

Sandusky, Norwalk, Elyria, North Olmsted, Strongsville, Twinsburg, Beachwood,  Mayfield Village, Burton, Kirtland, Ashtabula, and Conneaut

There are two ways to register:

Register with your Pack

Your Pack should have a Camp Coordinator who organizes the registration of your Pack’s Scouts. They will register with the link below.

Register as an Individual Camper

Check with your Pack before registering your own child with the link below. If you would like to attend Day Camp during a session that your Pack is not going, or you would like to go to multiple sessions, parents can register their child individually.
